SOGGY SNEAKER PARADE

It rained all of recess.  We nearly were drowned.
We walked down the hallway with no one around.
We shuffled our sneakers, and, oh, what a sound!
Squeak!  Squeak!  Squeak!
Squeak!  Squeak!  Squeak!

We giggled and wiggled and squeaked down the halls.
It rang from the classrooms and library walls.
It sailed through the bathrooms and rattled the stalls.
Squeak!  Squeak!  Squeak!
Squeak!  Squeak!  Squeak!

We snickered and scuffled and shuffled and swayed,
a dripping and slippery sneaker parade.
The school was alive with the music we made!
Squeak!  Squeak!  Squeak!
Squeak!  Squeak!  Squeak!

We rounded a corner, and who should we meet?
Our hard working principal, red as a beet.
But then, with a chuckle, he shuffled his feet.
Squeak!  Squeak!  Squeak!
Squeak!  Squeak!  Squeak!
Squeak!  Squeak!  Squeak!
