LATE NIGHT MOVIE
I don’t think I can stay awake.
Last night I made a big mistake.
I watched a scary movie on TV.
It gave me such an awful fright,
I tossed and turned throughout the night,
and now I’m just as sleepy as can be.
My teacher saw me try to rest.
She scowled at me, and I confessed
I stayed up late to watch “The Mummy’s Curse.”
She yawned and said, “Well, shame on you.
You must have been on Channel Two.
The show on Channel Eight was even worse!”
