THE DINOSAUR I SWORE I SAW
The dinosaur I swore I saw
was sleeping on assorted straw.
His jaw was sore, or so I think,
and smelled a sour sort of stink.
His teeth, they shone beneath a grin
of stony, bony-plated skin.
And ‘round about this horrid beast,
I spied a dozen bones at least
of others who explored before
and stirred the snoring dinosaur.
And so I turned and slowly crept
and left the beast who soundly slept
to tell my ma and tell my pa
about the dinosaur I saw.
