BEANS
What can we say about beans
that hasn’t been spoken before?
They’re eaten by beggars and queens.
They’re simply the food we adore.
They’re brown and they’re white and they’re red.
You’ll find them on tables and shelves.
But anything left to be said,
they’ve already said for themselves.
