An "I Love My Shoes" wall
Each student designed a shoe. This display hung in the gymnasium. Projects like this really help in getting the students excited about an upcoming author visit.
|
Author studies are very popular. Here the students have created a bulletin board of poets. The jackets open up to show a biographical outline of the poet. (I'm the one right down the middle with the black hat)

An "I Love My Shoes" bulletin board.
I think the students were assigned these to decorate as a homework project. They were VERY proud of their work!

Late Night Movie
The students created the border for this poem with all sorts of scary creatures.
|
I'll Teach My Dog to Read
The students created the book covers and pencils and other odds and ends that helped to present this poem.

Letter C
Here the students supported the poem by finding a fancy way of designing the letters C, K, and S. I like the way the teacher bowed the illustrations outward to give the bullentin board extra dimension.

Watermelon Bird
